Our goal is to provide organizations, institutions, and individual scholars with a modern, low-cost, high-value platform for publishing place-based humanities content on the web. That’s why we are committed to developing Curatescape as an open source tool. Our paid services are designed for projects that need a bit more assistance in deploying a full-scale web project, as well as for those that want great native mobile apps at an amazingly low cost. We are a not-for-profit organization so every paid project helps us to maintain and expand the open source Curatescape platform going forward.
Please review our pricing below to find the tier that best fits your needs.
Free and Open Source: web only – $0
The Curatescape framework is built on the open-source Omeka content-management system. We make all of our Omeka code available for free on the Center for Public History + Digital Humanities GitHub page. Download the code, install the plugins and theme, add your custom colors and logo, and deploy a fresh new responsive website all on your own server!
Full Service: web only – $7,000 one time fee
The web-only option is also available as a full-service tier, including installation on your server of choice, Omeka setup and configuration, custom branding, and conceptual and technical support. For your convenience and peace of mind, we offer managed hosting services and ongoing Omeka software updates for an additional $300 per year.
Full Service: web + apps – $7,000 one time fee + $1,500 per year*
Curatescape is also available with native iOS & Android apps that connect to the content on your Curatescape website. We’ll handle every technical aspect of your project, including the setup, branding, Omeka and native app software updates, training, support, and deployment of the apps to the iOS and Android app stores. You can use your own server or ours; managed hosting is available for an additional $300 per year.
